Terrorist Dry Runs

Well of course they are conducting dry runs. Why else would someone duct tape a bit of wire to a block of cheese? However, there are laws against simulated weapons, and in my opinion, they should be charged as if the cheese was a real bomb.

Life sentences for people who conduct this kind of thing. There is simply no reason why someone would do this unless they were a nutjob or a terrorist.

Earlier this month in San Diego, California, a passenger checked a bag containing two ice packs covered in duct tape. The ice packs had clay in them instead of the normal blue gel.

So tell me why would someone have clay in the ice packs? Anyone? This passenger should be sent to prison forever for a stunt like this. It's the same thing when you threaten the President. Even if you don't mean it, the Secret Service treats it as if you were. You will be punished as if you were.

So why is it any different if someone tries to put together a "bomb" and put it through security if they were doing a dry run or not? Treat both crimes the same and give them very long prison sentences.
