Israelis Chomping At The Bit

I can't tell you how many times I've said that we are the only ones standing in the way of Israel striking Iran over their nuclear program. Now, this is the second warning from Israel:

As long as Russia was not aligned with the United States, Kuperwasser said sanctions would not work on their own to stop Iran.

"For significant sanctions to be effective the world needs to at the same time threaten the use of military force," he said. "Iran needs to be made to understand that if the sanctions won't work, the world is prepared to use military force to stop the nuclear program."

I don't know about you, but if a Canadian leader threatened to "wipe us off the map" and were working on a nuclear program, do you think we would just sit casually by? Do you think that would hold true if Canada were supporting known terrorist groups who have attacked our civilian infrastructure? Of course not, so do we blame Israel for being nervous about this? No.

What's more depressing is that there are world leaders saying that "we lived with a Russian nuclear power, why not Iran"?

Well people easily forget that we were on the brink of nuclear war many times with Russia, most notably the Cuban Missile Crisis. Had Russia attacked us or supported groups that attacked us, you can bet it would not have ended peacefully.
