Guantanamo Bay Is Better Then Freedom?

Wait, wait, wait. I thought that Guantanamo Bay was where we were torturing people, making them feel like they were drowning, burning them, treating them like animals, and this guy is actually SUING to be able to stay there instead of go home? Well either one of a couple things are happening.

1: His home country is really shitty and they will torture him.

2: His home country is really shitty and he just doesn't want to live there.

3: He's not being tortured in Guantanamo like everyone thinks happens there.

Regardless, if he's not a threat, he doesn't belong in Guantanamo. We also don't have the obligation to keep him if he's afraid of going home.

As a side note, I remember watching a show on the History Channel called "The Dark Art Of Interrogation" and in it, a US Army interrogator said that when inmates at Guantanamo were first arriving, they weren't talking, when it appeared that we were shipping them back to their home country, they were deathly afraid and were spilling their guts to talk their way out of having to go home.

This is probably a similar situation. However, I say whatever intelligence we can gather from them, go for it.
