Well if you have a PC running at 200mhz and you upgrade to a machine that runs at 2,000mhz, then everything should be 10x faster right? You'd think so, but you'd be wrong.
The same analogy can be said of a Clinton/Obama campaign that this woman is pushing. Her idea is to take the two biggest Democratic Presidential candidates, put them both on the same bill, and you're pretty much guaranteed a White House victory in November 2008. However, there's several problems with that.
First: Ego. Barack has publicly said he would gladly do something like that if Hillary was his VP candidate. There's no way in hell Hillary is going to take a back seat to Obama. Her ego and ruthlessness won't allow it.
Secondly: Hillary. Over 50% of Americans polled have said that they would never vote for Hillary, even if they themselves were Democratic leaning. Some people may say "Obama I like, but since it's also Hillary, no thanks".
Third: Jabs. Each one has jabbed the other for various issues. Obama on his inexperience and lack of a plan. Hillary for her vote on the Iraq war, etc. If this ticket were to happen, you can bet smart Republican political strategists would take those jabs and work them into campaign speeches. I know I would.
Lastly: Democrats. Yes, the Democratic party would rip itself a new one if they had to vote for this ticket. They would all start infighting about which candidate deserves what, and a smart Republican candidate would play one side against another and vice versa. The result? A party that can't get anything done right and will appear weak and unable to fill the role of the Presidency.
