Sometimes you have to wonder what leaders of countries are thinking when they make statements like this:
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Saturday that the Iraqi army and police are capable of keeping security in the country when American troops leave "any time they want," though he acknowledged the forces need further weapons and training.
Kind of a contradiction don't you think? We can "leave any time we want" but you need further weapons and training. Those two aren't mutually exclusive. You either need our help or you don't. Already his aide is saying that his words were "misunderstood". Whatever the case may be, if the Iraqi government isn't ready by the time we do leave, who ever started the leaving process: Bush, Democrats, or the Iraqi leader, they'll have hell to pay.
