Republican Outburst

Here's a difference between adults and Cynthia McKinney. We've all had outbursts where we've said or done something we later regret. A lot of times, it takes us several hours or even a day to calm down. Representative Christopher Shays got into an altercation with a Capitol hill officer and then apologized when he realized he was wrong.

Cynthia McKinney didn't do that. Instead, she tried to blame it on race, sexism and other bullshit reasons why she was being asked to come back to see the officer. What does she do in response? She slugs the officer in the chest. Then she has the nerve to bring out all sorts bullshit artists like Danny Glover and Harry Belefonte who all claimed it was a black/white issue.

Shays apologized for his behavior and took responsibility for it. Now, if he had slugged the officer, he should go to jail and be removed from office. The article says that he reached for the officers name tag, however you simply don't touch police officers. They have a tendency to kick your ass for doing that. Personally, I'd LOVE to see a cop beat down a politician who's acting all uppity, but it probably won't happen in my lifetime.

Regardless, my point is, is that Shay didn't turn it into a "it's because I'm a black person" bullshit ruse like everyone knew McKinney did. Let's face facts here people, when you say "it's because I'm black", it's essentially crying wolf. Sooner or later, people are going to stop listening to your racist complaints and then when a REAL racist event happens, people are going to think you're full of shit.
