This is a bit of a funny story rather than a serious one. But Representative Gary Miller came to work in the Senate today in a Hawaiian shirt and slippers. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), who was presiding over the chamber at the time, to weigh in: "The chair must remind Members that the proper standard of dress in the chamber is business attire, which includes both coat and tie for gentlemen."
However, there's a picture of Lee not dressed appropriately on the site when she's at her job. Hypocrisy, yes, but nothing to get our collective panties in a bunch over. Just funny I thought. Personally, I could give a rats ass what they all wear to work as long as they got work done.
