My support for Musharraf has been shaky at best. Now, his support at home is collapsing and I don't really know what to make of it.
I mean, on the one hand, he's already proclaimed TWICE now that Pakistan is not actively looking for Bin Laden. That in of itself is reason enough for me to want to cut all ties with him and feed him to the wolves. But on the other hand, what's our alternative if he goes? With him saying that he won't "allow" us into Pakistan to go after Bin Laden, but then he's saying he isn't looking for him leads me to think of him more as a harborer of terrorists than an ally.
I don't think I need to explain how bad I want Bin Ladens head on a pike. I think I've been pretty clear about that. But for our "ally" to not look for a terrorist leader like Bin Laden and his henchmen leads me to believe that he's either delusional about the threat that Bin Laden carries, or he's starting to sympathize with him. Either way, Musharraf's time is about to end.
What's worse is that Bin Laden has already tried TWO attempts to assassinate Musharraf and yet, he doesn't seem to give a shit. I don't get it.
