How I'm Voting - Attorney General

This one is a close race, but I'm going with Rob McKenna as I have lots of contacts within the law enforcement communities, and they have all said that Meth and sex offenders are their top problems.  Rob McKenna has done something about both.

McKenna wrote the nation’s first law allowing facilities where children congregate to ban convicted sex offenders. He successfully fought for: • more mandatory prison time for sex predators • stricter registration and • making child pornography possession a ranked felony.

Thanks in large measure to McKenna’s Meth Task Force: • methamphetamine labs are down 90% vs. 2001 and • meth’s street price has doubled. His efforts produced new narcotics task forces and more drug treatment. McKenna also focuses on prevention and has personally spoken to 30,000 students about this extremely dangerous drug.
