The convention credentials committee voted unanimously to restore the voting privileges at the behest of Barack Obama, the party's presumptive nominee for president. The states were initially stripped of delegates for holding primaries before Feb. 5. The party's rules committee restored the delegates in May, but gave them only half votes.
Democrats hope the gesture will strengthen their standing in two important battleground states while ending a contentious chapter of the nominating process.
Hmm...Playing politics instead of adhering to the rules. Isn't that something Democrats would chide Republicans for? Rules are rules, and if Democrats are willing to break this one for obvious political reasons, what other rules are they breaking without your knowledge?
Let's not forget that when Republicans are accused of wrongdoing, members of our political side ask that that person step aside or step down.
Corruption, a "do nothing" Congress with single digit approval ratings, breaking their own rules, hypocritical stances on issues such as the Federal debt. Good going Democrats, keep it up, you're showing your true colors.
