U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote

The hate crime bill that was going through Congress today was passed 60-39.  It would allow for a wider prosecution of hate crimes, including gay hate crimes.

But look who voted it down:

 

Senator Larry Craig.

 

I must admit I snickered a little bit when I saw that.

I guess the only gay people that need "protecting" are US Senators.
