The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to consider the constitutionality of lethal injections in a case that could affect the way inmates are executed around the country.
All 37 states that perform lethal injections use the same three-drug cocktail. The three drugs consist of an anesthetic, a muscle paralyzer, and a substance to stop the heart. Death penalty foes have argued that if the condemned is not given enough anesthetic, he can suffer excruciating pain without being able to cry out.
While there is a revenge motive in not caring about whether these inmates can feel pain before they die, the Constitution does strictly prohibit "Cruel and Unusual punishment".
So if that's the case, why can't we simply shoot these people with a high caliber rifle round through the back of the head? A .50 caliber weapon should do nicely. Death would be instantaneous and the condemned would feel no pain.
It's all about solutions people. You can either complain about something, or offer up a solution to a current problem. I'm just here to help. :)
