France Says War With Iran Possible

France? FRANCE??!?!? Look at the French all of a sudden getting worried about a world threat and actually wanting to DO something about it! Go France! It's about time they started acting like they had a pair.

The world should brace for a possible war over the Iranian nuclear crisis but seeking a solution through talks should take priority, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said on Sunday.

"We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst is war," he said in an interview broadcast on French television and radio.

"We must negotiate right to the end," with Iran, he said, but underlined that if Tehran possessed an atomic weapon, it would represent "a real danger for the whole world."

"We are trying to put in place plans which are the privilege of chiefs of staff and that is not for tomorrow," he said, referring to military plans but stressed that although any attack on Iran was far from taking place, "It is normal for us to plan" for any eventuality.

Kouchner said France wanted the European Union to prepare sanctions against Iran, outside the ambit of the UN Security Council, to force Tehran to forsake its nuclear ambitions.

My God, France is actually starting to sound like they may sign on for an attack against Iran if they don't stop their nuclear ambitions. Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together....Mass hysteria here!

I think what may have pushed France over the edge is their recent "student" Muslim riots that they had. They have seen that even the most minor thing can set off minorities in the Muslim community to set fires, destroy property, and threaten others. France has seen the threat that they pose and are now prepared to act accordingly.

It's something the United States has been warning about for some time. There are those in the Muslim community that are hyper-sensitive babies who are "offended" at the smallest slight. They want to instill Sharia law in their host countries and they seem to think they can get away with it. They can't. You want Sharia law? Go to a country where it's already implimented. In your host country, you obey the laws of that nation or you get the hell out. That goes for anyone, not just small, vocal percentages of the Muslim community.

There is good evidence that real danger exists in the current situation with Iran, where it was not evident at all in the lead up to the "war" in Iraq. The difference in opinion cannot be said to have changed because of an interior "Muslim problem". Nobody seems to be desperately looking for justification to start a war with Iran (unlike what happened with Iraq)...France sees that the danger is justifiable.
