Clinton unveils mandatory health care insurance plan - CNN.com

Oh good lord, here we go again.

Hillary, you and your constituents LOVE to talk about the insane amount of debt this country has and how much Republicans are putting us in debt, but yet, you're trying to push forth a plan that would cost this country $110 BILLION dollars??

Under the plan, federal subsidies would be provided for those who are not able to afford insurance, and large businesses would be required to provide or help pay for their employees' insurance.

Who do you suppose PAYS for these subsidies?  American taxpayers, that's who.

"I know my Republican opponents will try to equate this plan with government-run health care. Well don't let them fool you again," Clinton said, explaining that her plan would allow participants to "keep the doctors you know and trust" while it would expand "personal choice" and keep costs down.

How is it NOT government run health care?  How are you going to "keep costs down" with your plan?  You're shifting the costs of this program onto businesses and American taxpayers, and my guess is that you'll only hit middle and upper class taxpayers with your new idea as to who's going to pay for it.

Let's break it down and see what it's really going to cost shall we?

If the country now has to spend $110 billion dollars, and the article doesn't say if that's per year or per a 4 year Presidential term or what.  If we now have a new added expense, we have to pay for it.  Businesses that now have this added expense will push that added cost onto customers.  So in other words, my taxes will go up because of this "plan", the cost of goods I use and enjoy go up, all so that someone who didn't pay attention in school gets to see a doctor for free?

This system is RIPE for abuse.  You're allowing people to go see a doctor for free or at a significantly reduced cost.  That means they'll go more often.  That means that, statistically speaking, malpractice lawsuits will go up, and thus costing more money.

Look, there's already states that have basic health insurance, even if the person is sick when they apply for it.  Why do we need to spend an additional $110 billion dollars when we need to cut out the fat in government as is?

Simply put, if someone is "dying" like Hillary claims, there's no reason why they can't be covered by Medicare/Medicaid, or a state's basic health insurance.

Hillary can't be expected to be taken seriously if she bitches about the federal deficit and then wants to spend $110 billion dollars to make sure that everyone gets insurance.  It's a feel good idea that is going to cost this country dearly.
