This is exactly what SHOULD have happened. Muslim cab drivers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport have been refusing to pick up passengers with alcohol on religious grounds. Now, the commission for that airport has voted 11-0 to force the cab drivers to pick those customers up. If a cab driver refuses, they get their license suspended for 30 days. The second offense gets a 2 year suspension.
You can't tell your boss that you won't do your job on religious grounds. They won't stand for it. You'll soon find yourself in the unemployment line if you do.
