Well if they quit politics, then that means that they aren't allowed to have explosives or anything other then a standard AK-47 that everyone has. That means that they are now arrestable and Moqtada Al-Sadr is now a legitimate target.
Al-Sadr's guys political guys have resigned their posts because Iraqi leadership won't put a timetable on when US troops will leave. Hmm...Democrats want us to leave, Al-Sadr's forces want us to leave and they have been roaming the streets killing innocent Iraqis....odd coincidence if you ask me.
These guys have been bad news from day 1. They need to be captured or killed for the crimes that they are committing. So when the Iraqi leadership gets on it's feet, you'll see less and less US troops on the ground.
Of course, if they stopped fighting all together, we'd be out of there in a matter of a few months, but that simply isn't going to happen.
