"Yes, we need to strengthen borders, everyone agrees with that," the New York Democrat said. "We have to, though, remain faithful to our condition as a beacon for people around the world seeking a better life."
So if you agree with it Hillary, why not advocate for a fence across the southern and NORTHERN border?
Well she won't do that. She'll simply try to flout our current immigration laws.
She touted her efforts to make sure families weren't disrupted by the Senate's immigration bill. "Everybody talks about family values ... let's start valuing families and that means immigrant families as well as every other family," she said.
No one on either side of the argument has a problem with immigrant families. That's what America has been built on. We're talking about ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. But Hillary can't see that. She wants to paint it as "those mean old Republicans want to get rid of all immigrants, especially Mexicans". Which is simply not true.
She did say she would "cut the Latino dropout rate in half," spend $10 billion on universal pre-kindergarten and pass the Dream Act to give legal status to illegal aliens who go to college or join the military.
Really Hillary? You think you can cut the drop out rate in half simply by throwing money at it? What about other races? Or do you just care about that particular group? I never hear Hillary talk about "I'd cut the dropout rate for white kids by half". You know why? Because she wants to appear like she cares. Caring about white kids will get the Al Sharpton's of the world out in force saying that they're being excluded.
However, I DO agree that if an illegal alien is here already, and they wish to join the military, they should be given legal status and citizenship once they are honorably discharged after 4 or more years. If you're willing to fight for my country, I consider you an American.
However, Hillary, I spoke about this in June. Try to keep up will you? It makes you look like a "me too" type of person.
