NABJ to Citadel and Fox: End Imus Talks

"NABJ remains outraged after the racially inflammatory insults made by Don Imus last spring. He used his free speech to broadcast hate speech. To put him back on the air now makes light of his serious and offensive racial remarks that are still ringing in the ears of people all over this country," said Barbara Ciara, NABJ president.

Fair enough. When are you going to condemn Jesse Jackson for his "hymietown" comments?  He said this blatantly towards the Jews.

When are you going to take the "Black" out of your organization's name? That in of itself is racist.

Until you resolve these matters, go fuck yourself.

Personally, I don't care for Imus. He's boring as hell and lacks any kind of on air personality.

However, I'm getting sick and tired of everyone trying to play the race card and trying to be professional "victims" and "I'm offended" types.

If you don't like it, don't listen to him.  But save your "I'm offended" speech for someone that gives a shit.  I'm all for an even playing field, regardless of race, color, or sexual orientation.  Everyone who's a reader here knows that.  But it gets a bit old when you hear rap stars and comedians use the word "nigger" left and right, and no one says a thing simply because they are black.

But if a white person says it, then there's an uproar from all the usual suspects.  You don't hear white people using the word "cracker", "honky", or "white devil" do you?  Then why do you think you can get away with using certain words and having freedom of speech and no one else can simply because of the color of their skin?  That's racist.
