Aide: Iran president misquoted on gays - Focus on Iran - MSNBC.com

Iran’s president was misrepresented by Western media when he was quoted saying there were no gays in Iran, and actually meant there were not so many as in the United States, a presidential aide said on Wednesday.

Does anyone actually believe this line of bullshit?  If he was "misquoted" like they say, then why not say that a day or two after the speech?  They had to have known what the translation says within hours of his speech.

Funny, this also appears quite familiar.  Oh yeah, the whole "wipe Israel off the map" bit that liberals love to say he was misquoted about.  Multiple times.  From multiple translators.

Also, if he was "misquoted", why did he follow it up with this statement: “In Iran we don’t have this phenomenon.”

Was he "misquoted" there too?  I call shenanigans.
