Bloomberg calls surveillance-camera critics 'ridiculous'

Just an FYI Bloomberg, you may be right that people are already being surveilled, but that doesn't mean that people are comfortable with a system that AUTOMATICALLY grabs licence plates and does checkups on the vehicle.

Most people don't realize that once you step out into the open, your right to privacy is severely reduced.  People and government entities have a right to film anyone they wish.  That's why the media always has a picture of Britney Spears getting into and out of courthouses and cars.

"It's just ridiculous people who object to using technology," the mayor said, adding that he had not talked with anyone in London who wasn't "thrilled" at the presence of security cameras in their capital.

Plus, you don't have to really be a dick about it.  Just mention your case and don't call people "ridiculous".  It's very off putting.
