About the same number said it was making things worse: 24% now, 25% a month ago.
While still most (57%) of the people want immediate withdrawal from Iraq, because they are starting to see a turn around in Iraq, they are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and are starting to see that Bush's surge is working.
That's got to be a thorn in the side of Democrats. Especially if they make comments like positive results "could be a problem for us."
With combat and civilian deaths way down, Democrats are finding themselves between a rock and a hard place. Do they pander to the far left constituents who are screaming for America's defeat and look like cowards? Or do they stick it out when it looks like things are going well and alienate their voters?
