You know you're in trouble when the defense attorney says that the case against you was based off of "fear of Islam". It's the exact same thing that other defense attorneys say when they are defending Mafia folks and other major criminals.
What they DON'T tell you is that there's an "Al-Qaeda job application" filled out by Padilla. Tell me THAT'S fear of Islam. It's difficult to defend someone who's so blatantly guilty. I can imagine what Bruce Cutler must think when he tries to defend Mafia bosses who are on mountains of tape talking about murders and other crimes. I've seen him tell a jury that it's all because the defendants were Italian, which was a load of crap that the jury luckily didn't buy.
My bet? I'm betting that all of them get found guilty and are given life sentences.
