Let me explain something to automakers, foreign and domestic. People love new technology, but there's one thing that is above all else that people look for in a car: reliability. Domestic car makers have a reputation for making uninspired, shitty cars.
When you have Japanese and German cars pushing the boundaries for reliability and "neat" features, it's only natural that the market shifts from domestic cars to foreign ones.
Take a look at what's wrong with today's cars and fix it. For example: People are sick and tired of rising gas prices. Solution? Hybrids or even electric cars. Chevy and Toyota are leading the pack with various versions of electric cars that they've announced, but find out what your customer wants and needs, and if you fill that gap, your sales will skyrocket. It's not brain surgery people.
