Further Palestinian Problems

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today got himself a new cabinet and outlawed the Hamas militant militia as well as the executive part of that group.

Now, only a few hundred deaths, some disruptions to the Palestinian infrastructure and you'll start seeing world governments trying to step in to "solve" the crisis. Of course, since American's are involved in Iraq and there's violence there, world governments don't want to call for peace there.

Is this the end of the Hamas political government? I would certainly hope so, but only time will tell if it's really the end or just a violent bump in the road. There is something to be said though that throughout this nasty episode, Israel has said that with Hamas having problems with the Palestinian government, the road to peace is more likely to happen without them (Hamas).
