The Finger Pointing Begins

So now the parents of one of the students at Virginia Tech is calling for the firing of the police chief and the President of the university. They say that they didn't do enough to stop the carnage at the school. They don't care that this was an attack on a grand scale. They don't care that the school was a "gun free zone" and therefore, no one could take out the shooter. They just want heads to roll because their child was murdered by a nutcase. They don't dare attack the shooter because that would be too convenient.

“My God, if someone shoots somebody there should be an immediate lockdown of the campus,” said John Shourds. “They totally blew it. The president blew it, campus police blew it.

Ok Mr. Shourds, tell me, how would you lock down a school with multiple buildings across the campus with almost 10,000 students on school grounds at any one time?

At about 9:50 a.m., Alexandra Shourds told her father a subsequent e-mail was sent to students instructed them to stay put and not go anywhere.

His own daughter admits that she got an email stating to not go anywhere and stay where she was. Sounds like a lockdown to me.

“I hold this president completely accountable,” said Shourds. “They are cowards. They can’t come out and say they made a mistake.

It's easy to call people cowards Mr. Shourds. What did you do once you heard about the shootings? Did you go down to the school armed and ready to take out the shooter? If not, then you have no right to slam these people for the decisions they made during a time of crisis.
