An appeals court denied the motion for "Scooter" Libby to remain free while his appeal works its way through the court system. He is now likely to face prison within weeks.
There's a bunch of people who are trying to get Bush to pardon him. I don't think that's very likely. It would push Bush over the edge of the thin amount of support he has and his approval ratings would drop to zero. Democrats would rightfully point fingers and imply that Bush or Cheney knew about the leak and approved it. It would be bad all around.
Let this be a lesson to you all, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Just like if I were to stick a gun into someone's ribs and rob them, I wouldn't really have much room to complain if they sent me to prison while I appealed my conviction.
