Soldier Admits Rape And Murder

I don't think anyone questions that I support our troops. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if a decision is made in the heat of battle and it ultimately turns out to be the wrong decision. A split second is all you have that may determine whether you live or die. In the same situations, I would probably make the same decisions that these honorable men make. However, the rape and murder of a 14 year old girl and her family isn't one of those mistakes that I'm willing to overlook.

These men, if the charges are proven true, will have brought dishonor to his fellow soldier. It is actions like these that make other soldier's lives much more difficult and feeds the propaganda machine for the insurgents. Of course, I know that these actions, if true, are an extremely small fraction of the amount of honorable soldiers serving. I am hoping that the charges are not true, but things don't look very good right now. I'm not willing to "throw them under a bus" quite yet, but from what I have read, there is strong evidence that a horrible crime has been committed here.
