If they fired upon civilians unprovoked, then they deserve to be sent to jail like anyone else. If they were fired upon first, then the "outrage" is moot. They say they have a video tape of it, so let's see it.
Iraq's president, meanwhile, demanded that the Americans release an Iranian arrested this week on suspicion of smuggling weapons to Shiite militias. The demand adds new strains to U.S.-Iraqi relations only days before a meeting between President Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Fuck off and die in a fire. There is no way that we're releasing a guy who smuggled weapons to insurgents in Iraq. If Iran is supporting the insurgency like everyone knows they are, then why are they demanding his release? Secondly, why is the President of IRAQ demanding his release? Unless it's a typo on CNN's part (which is entirely possible), then BOTH Iran and Iraq should demand to see evidence of weapons smuggling rather than asking for his release.
Either way, they know their goose is cooked if this guy starts talking. Worse yet, Iran didn't declare war on the US, the guy wasn't wearing a uniform, or following any of the rules of the Geneva Convention, so he's technically not a prisoner of war.
It's only going to get more interesting as time goes on.
