Where else on the planet can illegal immigrants protest in their host nation and demand citizenship? No where. You can't even do that in Mexico. In Mexico, you have NO rights as an illegal immigrant. So why should illegal immigrants have rights here? Pro-illegal immigrants also have some of the most backward logic you can imagine:
Organizers of this year's events are focusing on raids by immigration officials that have separated some of the nation's illegal immigrants from their children, who are U.S. citizens if born in the United States.
I have no problem with allowing these children to stay in this country. They are US citizens after all. However, their parents broke the law, and they need to be deported. It's no different than if I went to another country and didn't follow their rules for citizenship. I have NO RIGHT to protest if I've built a life in that country.
If these people built lives, had children, and were productive members of society, that's fine. But they are still breaking the law and they still run the risk of losing everything they've built because of that criminal act. Why should these people get to be ahead of the line and get amnesty when other people came to this country legally and waited years to get their citizenship?
Just because you didn't follow the law doesn't mean you get a free pass. Otherwise what's to prevent other people from doing the same thing with different laws? "I stole that car, but I should be allowed to get away with it because I work hard"? How does that make sense? It's not fair to taxpayers who have to foot the bill when these people go to our hospitals for treatment, get government benefits, or as a small fraction does, commit crimes against American citizens.
