US officials claimed today that the incoming UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, would not pull troops from Iraq. While I like hearing that news, I want to hear it from Mr. Brown himself. Pulling troops right now would be a major mistake and cause significant disruptions to Iraqi security forces and other rebuilding efforts. But, let's let Mr. Brown get settled into his new office before we slam him with questions.
