Congress is looking into taxing more and more of the Internet. Even idiotic Republican Michael Enzi is proposing a mandatory sales tax on all Internet purchases. This would make it so that your saving a couple of bucks on a purchase at Amazon.com's website null. That means that there may be times where it would be cheaper to go to a brick and mortar store and buy your item.
I can't stress this enough. WE ARE TAXED ENOUGH. I pay more in taxes then some people make in a year. I don't know about you, but seeing a Republican ask for more taxes needs to be addressed. The Republican party is about less taxes, less government, and more freedom to do as you wish. You can make the American dream what you want it to be, not what some idiotic bureaucratic says it should be. Am I the bad guy here? Am I the only one who's tired of paying taxes after taxes after taxes?
Take a look at your gasoline bill. It takes, what, $30 bucks or so to fill a standard tank? How much of that do you think is in taxes? In the state of California for example, taxes on a $3.46 gallon of gas is 62 cents. In some areas it's more. I pay hundreds of dollars a month in property taxes. I pay taxes on food, clothing, every thing in my everyday life.
Then with government waste at an almost legendary status, they have the NERVE to say that the taxes aren't enough. If you're making $200 a week or $200,000, you have the right to have your tax money spent wisely. Schools, roads, national defense, those are all good places to spend money wisely. Cut the fat on you before you cut the pound of flesh from us.
