I Told You So

Didn't I tell you that the trip to Syria by Nancy Pelosi would send the wrong message? Didn't I tell you that it would embolden people who need to be slapped down for supporting terrorist groups? Didn't I tell you that inviting the Muslim Brotherhood was a bad idea? Well now I'm proven right, YET AGAIN! An Egyptian blogger named Sandmonkey (his name, for obvious reasons is being obscured) confirms everything I feared would happen when that harpy would appease terrorist states.

On the Democrats embracing Muslim Brotherhood:

Atlas: Where you shocked when Hoyer met with the Muslim Brotherhood?

SANDMONKEY: Let me tell you something. I was in Turkey a couple of weeks ago and I met a couple of Syrian activists. They one thing they told me that was really funny about the Pelosi visit. After Pelosi came to Syria two things happened. People on Syrian TV were saying, "We forced the Americans to knock on the Damascus gate!" Sort of like an admission that we messed things up in Iraq so much that America had to come and beg for their help.

But the day after Pelosi's visits there were immediate arrests of Syrian activists. That was the fruit she yielded. "Oh the Americans came over and they said they have a different foreign policy and they're more interested in placating Bashar's ego." And he went out and got [arrested] everyone he wanted because he knew he had an ally in Washington that wouldn't pressure him as much.

Pay attention here people. There are people in every Middle Eastern country that wants our help, that wants to have the freedoms we have, but they need us to put pressure on these oppressive governments, otherwise nothing will change. You think they can rise up against their government when people are being arrested for being activists?

We cannot afford to abandon these people like we abandoned the Kurds after the first Gulf War. If we help these people get the freedoms that they so desire, it would go a long way. Democrats should "get it" more then Republicans because they are always asking the US government to "get at the root causes of terrorism". Well this is it idiots. You plant the seeds where people can say and do what they want, when they want, people will be more inclined to want to live in peace and raise a family and the normal things that everyone wants. If you have an oppressive regime that blames the US for everything, pretty soon they start believing that stuff and we end up having to defend skyscrapers against hijacked airliners.

So knock it off Nancy, you're doing more harm than good, and the world is laughing at you for doing it. You're showing them that the US is willing to turn a blind eye to those in need, which isn't what the American people are all about. We help those who cannot help themselves. We fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. We don't abandon our friends, and we certainly don't talk to terrorist supporting nations.

Speaking Of Hypocrites

Al Gore is calling Canada's efforts to reduce greenhouse gases a "fraud". Wow, there's the pot calling the kettle black.

How about how Mr. Gore's home famously uses WAY more energy then George Bush's? How about how Mr. Gore's purchase of "carbon credits" are purchased from a company he's involved with? How about how Mr. Gore doesn't fly commercial airliners and doesn't ride around in hybrids?

Al, let's cut to the chase here. You're poking your nose into someone else's business. You're not "walking the walk", but you expect everyone else to. You're the "fraud", so leave everyone else alone.

Madam To Name Names

Oh man this could get real ugly for many politicians in Washington DC. The "Washington Madam" is set to name names. To tell you the truth, I don't really care if someone wants to visit a prostitute or not. That's not my business.

What I do want to see is those who preach one thing and do another. I love hypocrites. Seeing them "apologize" after they've been caught instead of coming clean BEFORE they are caught always speaks volumes about a person's character.

To me, if you want to visit a prostitute and not tell anyone for fear of repercussions, that's fine. But don't tell me how to live my life and how I should be "moral" or anything like that. I'd actually like a guy a bit more if he said "yeah so what" if he was caught but never preached morality to me. Let's see how high up this list of names goes.

9/11 Truther's Pay Attention

I want you all to see this, especially the 9/11 "truther's" out there. A gas truck was traveling on a California highway and crashed. The resulting fire and explosion weakened the steel structure that was holding up the section of the freeway and it collapsed upon itself. No explosives, government conspiracies, or any other sinister forces brought that freeway section down. Just simple heat, damage, and weight of the supported section.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that the same thing happened on 9/11? I support investigations across the board, but when NOT ONE structural engineer claims anything happened other than what the government said happened on 9/11, it kind of tells you something doesn't it?

It tells you that your piecing together of little bits of evidence to support your theory that doesn't fit with the official version, yet declining to take into account all of the rest of the evidence means you're not seeking "the truth". You're seeking "fame and fortune". Just ask the "Loose Change" folks. They're full of shit too, but they are selling a ton of DVD's of their movie.

So according to them, would this be the second time in history that steel was weakened or melted due to fire?

Brits Get Something Right

They've been aggressive when it comes to tracking down and convicting terrorists, but the sentences for terrorists lately, including those in America have been very light in my opinion. Now, the British got some people who were linked with the July 7th bombers who were planning their own attacks. Their sentence? Life imprisonment. THAT'S the kind of sentence you need to give these people.

None of this 9 months or 20 years bullshit, never allow them to roam free to hurt people again. A firing squad will also serve as an alternative sentence nicely. But Britain doesn't have the death penalty, and pretty soon you'll start seeing people ask for that if attacks continue and rack up the body count.

This Had To Be Decided??

The Supreme Court ruled today that police officers can't be sued by fleeing suspects if those suspects are posing a danger to society. Basically, a 19 year old kid was pulled over and he drove off in speeds up to 100 mph. He rammed a cop car when speeds came down to significantly less speeds, and the officer got permission to ram the vehicle off the road. He did, and the kid is now a quadriplegic.

I just can't believe that this had to be decided by the Supreme Court. I can't believe that there's not already a law on the books that says that.

The supervisor gives permission for the PIT maneuver -- precision intervention technique -- which involves the police car tapping the pursued vehicle at an angle so that it spins out. "Go ahead and take him out," the supervisor orders.

But Scott later said Harris was going too fast and he was worried about other drivers on the road, so the officer rammed the escaping Cadillac directly with his push bumper, causing it to go airborne down an embankment and crash.

Now 25, Harris resides at an assisted-living facility. He refused an interview to discuss the case, as did Scott. In previous testimony, Harris said he was scared when officers first turned on their sirens and that he did not want his car impounded.

Exactly. He chose to run from the police and this was the consequences of that action. The police have to think of themselves and innocent people that might get hurt for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sorry kid, you made a bad choice and you'll end up paying the price for that choice for the rest of your life. I don't feel sorry for you one bit.

Tenet Doesn't Get Off Light

Several CIA officers are saying that George Tenet's not being truthful to the American public. Most notably, our friend Michael Scheuer, with whom you might remember confirmed my article "Bin Laden Allowed To Escape For Financial Reasons", tells us that Tenet is being "less than truthful certainly in regard to Osama bin Laden, saying that we didn't have the opportunity to kill him."

I've seen many bits of evidence and Mr. Scheuer appears to be telling the truth. If that's the case, George Tenet has a lot of explaining to do. We have one of the most advanced intelligence collecting agencies in the world, and I find it hard to believe that it's really that difficult to find Osama. I'm very curious on what's inside of Tenet's book, but with multiple people are calling into question his honesty, I now will take what's inside with a grain of salt.

Who's responsible for Osama slipping through our fingers before 9/11? Mr. Scheuer says that it's Clinton and possibly Tenet. When I was watching the program that I discussed in my "Bin Laden" article above, there were operations that were called off for various reasons, one of them I completely agree with: There were too many children around and we could not guarantee that those children wouldn't be injured or killed in a missile strike against Bin Laden. I want Bin Laden's head on a pike as much as anyone on the planet, but I'm not willing to kill innocent children to do it. However, once those children are in the clear such as the February 1999 incident, there should have been no reason why we didn't drop a bomb on top of him. NONE.

John Edwards Wants To Tax The Successful

John Edwards would love to have you believe that universal health care is a doable program and will allow ordinary American's the ability to get decent health care for nothing. Even the dumbest economics student can tell you that someone, somewhere is going to have to pay for that. Well that "someone" is going to be the rich and the corporations if he has his way. He's even supporting the idea of taxing "excessive profits".

What that means is say you come up with an idea, patent it, and make a killing off of it. John Edwards wants to take your "excessive profits" and GIVE it to universal health care. Who defines what is "excessive profits"? He doesn't say.

Do you think that companies that are taxed for having "excessive profits" are going to just eat that cost? They are going to pass that cost down to you and me. We will pay for it with higher gas prices, higher rent, higher groceries cost, higher everything.

Edwards said his plan to provide universal health coverage would cost $90 billion to $120 billion a year.

Let's break that cost down. Say it's on the low end and the cost will be $90 billion a year. There are approximately 300 million people in the US. That breaks down to $300 per person per year. Got a wife and 3 kids? That's $1500 a year in EXTRA costs to you. Homeless guy who doesn't want to get a job, you'll be paying for him too.

We live in a Republic, not a Socialist state. I don't see why I have to get up every morning at 6 am and bust my ass and then turn around and pay for someone who doesn't want to do that. How is that fair to me? How is that fair to my wife? How is that fair to YOU?

You Whine About Guantanamo Bay

But yet, we have 82 people who've been cleared of all charges against them and yet, we can't send them back because either their home country doesn't want them (Yemen) or we're afraid that if we send them back to their home countries, they'll be tortured (Chinese Muslims).

So if we close down Guantanamo Bay like Democrats would like us to, where are these people going to go? If China does execute those people, what answers would Democrats like to give to those families? You can't send people back to their home country if they are innocent if they are going to be tortured and executed. Make no mistake, Guantanamo Bay is the one place that Muslim extremists are afraid of. You close that down, what are they going to be afraid of then?

Iran, Europe Talking Over Nuke Program

So they say they've come to a "united view" over Iran's nuclear program. I'm willing to allow Iran a face saving way out of this as long as we get our demands met. Face saving is very important in the Middle East, and if we can get our demands met without firing a shot, I'm all for it. However, it has to be followed up by verifiable evidence that they've stopped their program or that it can be made to where they cannot make nuclear weapons.

Of course, this could also be a way of the EU knifing us in the back, but only time will tell.

More Democratic Hypocracy

They are all for the environment, but when it comes to getting around, rather than jumping on a commercial airliner, they charter private planes. It's not that I even mind that they have private planes, I'd fly in one if I could, but don't tell me about how I'm supposed to be saving the environment, buying up "carbon credits", driving hybrids, recycling like crazy, using one square of toilet paper (don't tell me it was a joke, it wasn't), when you're not doing the same thing. People don't like hypocrites, especially ones that tell you how to live your life.

Another One Down

Details are short, but we've captured another Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq trying to come across the border. This guy was supposedly one of the top guys, but we'll learn more as time goes on. Hey I thought Democrats said that terrorists weren't in Iraq?

Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi was captured a little while ago and it is believed that he was working on trying to assassinate Pakistani President Musharraf. Perhaps this will get us a little bit more of a "thank you" from Pakistan? Perhaps Mr. Musharraf will be a bit more cooperative in our efforts to find Bin Laden? Maybe not, but it shows that we're not going to stop until we completely dismantle Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups. The CIA was responsible for this one, so since they generally don't get credit for their successes because generally they aren't know, kudos to them!

Democrat's Debate

So 8 Democratic Presidential candidates had a debate last night and I can't stop laughing. They are making the same mistakes that John Kerry did when he was running for President. They aren't saying what they are for, they are saying what they are against. They are lemmings, following the polls. They all start out with "Bush is wrong on blah blah blah", but their only solution is to pull out of Iraq.

General Petraeus has already said that pulling out would be a vast mistake. Iraqis are wanting us to leave, but they all say they don't want us to leave right away, they want us to leave when the Iraqi security forces are ready.

Added Baghdad student Ali Adel: "The exit of the occupation has to be preceded by the building of Iraqi forces and national reconciliation."

Perhaps the Democratic candidates didn't see my "Why John Kerry Lost" article. Hey guys, take a good, hard read on that one. It spells out completely where he went wrong and you can already see parallels in your debates.

But my favorite is quotes from Hillary Clinton: "This is not America's war to win or lose," Clinton said. "We have given the Iraqi people the chance to have freedom, to have their own country. It is up to them."

Read that statement again. "This is not America's war to win or lose". That was her statement. YES IT IS OUR WAR HILLARY. We invaded, we spent the money, we sent people to kill and die, we did everything that war involves. So it is our war.

You have to wonder what kind of mentality she has if all of this is going on and she has the nerve to say something like that.

Even Kucinich weighed in with his own idiotic quotes: "I think it's inconsistent to tell the American people that you oppose the war and, yet, you continue to fund the war."

So what he's saying is that he's willing to defund troops in the field and leave them without supplies and equipment when they need it most.

American's are starting to see through the bullshit of Democrats and their stance on the Iraq war. They would like to see an end to the war, but no one wants to end it and have it get worse for the Iraqis and for us.

When General's are telling you one thing, and you believe it and run with it, but they tell you what you are trying to do is wrong and you "don't believe him" it sends a message that it doesn't matter what the facts are, you're just going to cherry pick statements and facts to make it appear that your argument is valid. Elected officials shouldn't be doing that. Michael Moore does things like that.

Saudis Arrest 172 Militants

I'm actually glad the Saudis are taking terrorism a bit seriously, although not as seriously as I'd like. However, it's best that the Saudis arrest them there. They punish a lot more severely over there. Perhaps a bit of public beheadings are in order? They arrested a lot of them though. 172?!?! That would be a very large scale attack by any measure.

These militants also were in flight training, so it makes you wonder if they were going to fly planes into their targets or use them in some other fashion.

Hell Is Freezing Right Now

Normally, I don't like Joe Liberman because of his past stances on kids and video games, but he nails it with this article.

Last week a series of coordinated suicide bombings killed more than 170 people. The victims were not soldiers or government officials but civilians -- innocent men, women and children indiscriminately murdered on their way home from work and school.

If such an atrocity had been perpetrated in the United States, Europe or Israel, our response would surely have been anger at the fanatics responsible and resolve not to surrender to their barbarism.

Unfortunately, because this slaughter took place in Baghdad, the carnage was seized upon as the latest talking point by advocates of withdrawal here in Washington. Rather than condemning the attacks and the terrorists who committed them, critics trumpeted them as proof that Gen. David Petraeus's security strategy has failed and that the war is "lost."

He's absolutely correct. If 170 people were killed here, everyone, Democrats included, would be calling for the perpetrators blood. Anyone involved would be hunted down and you'd see old enemies shake hands and forget their differences until these people were captured or killed.

The Democrats recently passed a budget for our troops that included a deadline when we will withdraw. Democrats would be demonized if they pulled that stuff if the attack happened here.

What do you think would happen if Harry Reid said "the bombers are at war with the victims, we shouldn't get involved and should get out of there as soon as possible" He'd be ran out of town and labeled the traitor that he is, so how is it different because it happened in Baghdad?

Easy, it isn't.

Iran Screams "No Fair!"

Hey, it's not right that the US is using underhanded tactics against us! I mean yeah, we use it against them and take potshots at their soldiers in Iraq, but for them to do it against us is not fair! Sniper rifles, IED's, training insurgents are all hard, concrete evidence that Iran is working against us in Iraq. It's only fair we return the favor. Of course, the Iranian government is nervous over our position on their nuclear program. So, of course, the rhetoric steps up a bit.

  • Earlier Thursday, he said that his country would attack Israel and American targets throughout the world if Teheran were attacked over its nuclear program, Israel Radio reported.

According to the official Iranian news agency, the official, who deals with defense issues, said that no American would be safe from Iran's long-range missiles.

"We are prepared to fire tens of thousands of these missiles every day," he said.

  • What he doesn't tell you is that they'll only have enough to fire for one day. So, technically that might be true, it's a bit misleading. Plus, you fire your missiles at Israel or US forces, you may find yourself on the receiving end of a nasty return policy.

"Slam Dunk" Ruined My Career - George Tenet

Well you tell me, if the head of your intelligence agency tells you that the case for WMD's in Iraq is a "slam dunk" what would you think? Wouldn't you think that means that we have concrete, irrefutable evidence that they are there? Wouldn't that bolster your case for war?

I'm very interested in reading this book that Mr. Tenet wrote. I want to know the inside details of 9/11, the war in Iraq, and our successes in foiling terrorist plots.

However, he does make a good point. There were only a few people in the room and one of them leaked it out and they should indeed be punished.

But it also raises a good point. If an informant tells you of a crack house down the road and you kick down the door but you don't find the crack but you find a kiddie porn ring, do you say "sorry" and leave? No, of course not, you arrest everyone there and kick them in the teeth for the kiddie porn.

If the charges that this guy is accused of is true, that's down right treason. Providing a cell phone to a detainee for over a year? Who's to say what that detainee did with the phone? He could have done something mundane like talk to his wife, or he could have directed attacks against US forces.

He maintained a relationship with a detainee's daughter? There's so many problems with that I don't know where to begin. All of these things are extremely serious and he should never get out of prison if these charges are true. If his actions indirectly caused the deaths of any of his fellow soldiers, he should face a firing squad.

Yes, because that's what that country needs, more bans on things that are fun. "The burqa is part of our culture. We can't allow anyone to ridicule our culture," Culture Minister Sayed Ghazi Gulab Jamal told the National Assembly.

But it's ok to ridicule the culture of the United States? It's ok to stifle the rights of ordinary Pakistani's? It's ok to call for the murders of people who are different from you?

This is the problem that many Muslims are faced with. They allow idiots like this to dictate how they live their lives and when you don't have fun, don't get laid, don't have friends, you become bitter and angry and then it's very easy for them to point the finger and say "See, the United States is what causes all your problems" and these people eat it up.

Keith Olbermann's Panties In A Bunch

He's really irritated with the recent comments by Rudy Guiliani where Guiliani stated that Democrats would put this country on the defensive and America would be less safe, (which is correct).

He asks "Which party did what the terrorists wanted in postponing elections". WHAT?? I don't ever remember Osama saying "Death To America! And Allah willing, we will postpone your elections". He asks "Which party rode roughshod over American's rights while saying that they were protecting those rights". What he doesn't mention is that after 9/11, Keith himself asked "Why wasn't more done", yet, when more is being done, he complains about it being too much.

He asks "Which party took us into the most underly backwards, underly counterproductive, underly ruinous war in our history" So what he's really saying is that regardless of Clinton saying that Saddam had WMD's, the intelligence communities all around the world saying Saddam had WMD's, Russian intelligence saying after 9/11 that Saddam was planning attacks on American soil, that the Iraq war is not justified?

How much do you need Mr. Olbermann before you act? Do you need to see buildings collapsing for you to act? Do you need to see people dead in the street from chemical attacks before you act Mr. Olbermann? Are you saying we shouldn't have gone in and Saddam should be alive and in power to this day? The fact is that after 9/11, we could not take anything for granted. We saw what 19 young men with determination and ingenuity could do to our people. What do you suppose those same people could do with the backing of a nation?

He goes on to ask "which party was in charge when 9/11 happened"? But what he doesn't mention is what party was in charge when the threat of Bin Laden was growing? What party was in charge when terrorist attacks kept happening to American's abroad? What party was in charge when we had Bin Laden in our sights and let him go over a financial deal? Keith doesn't want to answer those questions because it would show the Democrats repeated failure to take threats seriously enough.

I'm not apologizing for Bush's mistakes. Had he been more aggressive, we might still have the WTC standing. However, Clinton had a KNOWN THREAT IN HIS SIGHTS and called it off because we might end up killing the prince of the UAE.

Keith doesn't want to mention that. Keith doesn't want to acknowledge that the Democrat's favorite guy failed in such a spectacular fashion that had he acted properly, well over 3,000 people would be alive today.

Hey Keith, how about instead of getting angry at the guy who points out the truth, how about you and other Democrats actually get a track record of DOING something about a threat.

The ultimate irony Mr. Olbermann is that you quote Franklin Roosevelt's famous "We have nothing to fear but fear itself", yet you ignore one of his other famous quotes which he ironically made on September 11th, but in 1944

"When You See a Rattlesnake Poised to Strike, You Do Not Wait Until He Has Struck Before You Crush Him"

Budget With Time Line - Round 2

The House has just passed the budget with the time line still in it 218-208, which passes, but does not have enough votes for a veto. I swear, Democrats JUST DON'T GET IT. You aren't going to get this passed with a time line in it.

The commanders on the ground are saying no time line, but your idiot majority leader Reid chooses not to believe him on that, but chooses to take words the General said out of context. Soldiers on the ground are saying no time line and are very angry about the "The Iraq war is lost" comment from Reid. You can't win, you simply don't have the votes. Any delay you continue to do will do nothing but hinder the jobs of military personnel who will remember the undermining you're doing to them at the most crucial time and will likely hold it against you come election time.

    Obama Responds To Giuliani

"Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics," Obama said in a statement. "America's mayor should know that when it comes to 9-11 and fighting terrorists, America is united. We know we can win this war based on shared purpose, not the same divisive politics that question your patriotism if you dare to question failed policies that have made us less secure."

Ok Mr. Obama, let's hear your ideas on fighting terrorism. Republicans have come up with dozens of ideas of fighting terrorism and going on the "offensive". Democrats have, rightfully so, gotten the reputation of being on the "defensive" side of the issue. So, what concrete ideas do you have? Anything? Tell me you're a bit more then speeches about hope and fluffy clouds and such.

It takes more than simple "Audacity of hope" to run this country and protect it from threats. It takes leadership abilities and radical ideas that sometimes don't work. The only thing I've heard from Democrats is complaints about the ideas that Republicans come up with. So, where's your ideas Mr. Obama, the world is waiting.

Or are you going to pull a John Kerry and say "I have ideas, but I'm not going to tell you unless you elect me President". If you truly believe Hillary Clinton's statement of "We have to protect our country from terrorism -- it shouldn't be a Democratic fight or a Republican fight", then you should be telling the President, the CIA, and anyone else who'll listen your ideas for fighting terrorism.

Or you could tell us your ideas of how to pay off our national debt. Universal healthcare has been floated around lately, but people complain about the national debt, so how do you plan to pay for it? Democrats complain about the national debt, but they put in pork spending for spinach and peanut farmers into a military budget bill.

So do us all a favor, stop complaining and start doing, people love a go getter.

So why is it that the 93 US attorney's fired under Clinton means nothing, but the 8 US attorney's means everything? There's no difference between the two. What's worse is that they have already made their political statement, but now they are just shoving an almost identical bill to the President and he has specifically said he will veto anything that contains a time line. This new bill contains that time line.

So all the Democrats will succeed in doing is making the military's life more difficult because they will have to get creative with the money that they already have.

Giuliani Tells It Like It Is

Rudy Giuliani said if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.

The truth is rather tough to swallow sometimes, but the fact is that Democrats would indeed return to the "defensive" stance of fighting terrorism and we would continue to be vulnerable to attacks. I disagree with a lot of things Mr. Giuliani stands for, but this one is dead on.

“I listen a little to the Democrats and if one of them gets elected, we are going on defense,” Giuliani continued. “We will wave the white flag on Iraq. We will cut back on the Patriot Act, electronic surveillance, interrogation and we will be back to our pre-Sept. 11 attitude of defense.”

He added: “The Democrats do not understand the full nature and scope of the terrorist war against us.”

It's high time we took the fight to those who want to fight. Let them know that Navy SEALS might one day kick down their door and capture or kill them. Let them live in fear that a Tomahawk cruise missile might come in through their front window. Let them know what it's like to be hunted. Then, and only then, will they begin to think twice about attacking Americans.

If militants want to attack us for our support of Israel, does that mean that Iran is fair game for supporting Hamas and Hezbollah? Does that mean that the Palestinian government is now fair game? Does that mean that the Palestinian people are fair game because they elected Hamas to be their government? Does that mean we can slam commercial aircraft into their mosques and shopping malls? Does that mean that we can kidnap Iranians and saw their heads off on camera with full color and sound? Now all of a sudden it seems a bit more personal to them if we ever grabbed someone off the streets and butchered them like cattle just to send a message to them.

But we don't do that. We're better then that. We don't cut heads off of people and send tapes out to the media. We don't hijack aircraft and slam them into buildings. If we took the gloves off in a spectacular way like that, you can bet that the rules of the game would change completely.

But Democrats don't see it that way. They see it as "we're attacked, let's go get those that attacked us". They never want to be proactive about it and go after people who are planning to attack us or who are in foreign countries and they don't want to have an international incident because we went in to go get them.

Mr. Giuliani's right, a Democratic President would make this country less safe. His stock went up in my book a couple of points for this.

China's Going To Pollute More Than US Soon

China is set to surpass the US at the top polluter in the world because of it's bustling economy and record growth. Here's the kicker though: Even though they signed the Kyoto treaty, they are exempt from it's rules because it is a "developing country"?

Excuse me? China? They've been around for thousands of years, they are just as modern as the US in many areas, so why is it that they get to skirt the rules and the US wouldn't if it was a signatory to the Kyoto treaty?

So when is Greenpeace and other environmental groups going to protest China over their pollution? China certainly won't give a shit about those groups, but you won't hear from them anyways. They love to bash America over just about every possible issue, but they won't take those same concerns to other countries like China and Russia because they know those countries won't care. They think that American politicians are weak enough that they might cave.

Where the problem really lies for China is that they have over 1.5 billion people and they are growing almost exponentially. Problems such as pollution, over crowding, massive inflation, and others are going to sneak in over the next several years and China will then have problems that environmentalists have nightmares about.

    Military Lied To Tillman Family?

If the military lied to the Pat Tillman family over how he died it would be absolutely disgraceful. It appears that may be the case. How far up the chain of command this went seems to be the only question now. Regardless of how a soldier died, his family needs to know the truth. If he was working on a classified mission, then the family at least needs to know that he died via hostile or friendly fire.

It's simple honor here people. You don't lie to someone who's son gave his life defending this country. The truth is a lot less difficult to deal with when it's not clouded by lies.

    Toyota Surpasses GM

Toyota has now become the worlds largest automaker after surpassing GM in total sales. How did they do it? They made a more reliable car at a cheaper price. It's that simple here. If you demonstrate to me that your car will last 200,000 or more miles reliably, you can bet that I'll be a customer for life. Honda has proven that to me. I own 3 of them and not one has failed to start up on me, ever.

GM on the other hand has been pushing out SUV's and trucks as hard as they can because they are extremely profitable. While that is the case, they should have brought out other, more fuel efficient vehicles in case something like the current gas prices had happened. Don't hire more marketing people, hire more engineers. Hire designers, talk to car buyers, including those who bought your competitors vehicles, cut costs but not quality. Those things will get you back on top quicker then any slick marketing campaign can.

As a side note, GM is working on an all electric prototype called the Volt. If they manage to keep their claims of 300 miles per charge and keep the car reliable, that would go a very long way towards regaining market share. I know I would personally purchase one if the claims are true and the price is right.

    Harry Reid Can't Be Trusted

Holy crap on a stick. Just when you thought Harry Reid and Democrats couldn't sink much lower, he pulls this kind of crap. Harry Reid is stating that he believes General Petraeus when he said that "The war cannot be won militarily", but he WON'T believe General Petraeus when he said that timelines are a bad idea.

This is the most blatant attempt at selective facts that I've ever seen. Harry Reid is losing ground here very quickly. He has already gotten soldiers on the ground pissed at him for undermining their work in Iraq. Him and Nancy Pelosi want to put in a time line regardless of what commanders on the ground are saying. They don't have enough votes to override a Presidential veto, so they decide to blame it on President Bush. Admit it, you simply don't want America to win the war in Iraq. You want us to fail spectacularly so you can say "see, I told you".

Get your head out of your ass Reid, no one is buying your line of bullshit.

Girls Wake Up One Morning With Murder On Their Mind

"Sunday morning me and (her) woke up, and we were just talking, and for some reason we just decided to kill her," one of the girls told police in her interview.

I hope they enjoy waking up each morning to the sounds of guards banging on their steel doors with a baton. They strangled a young girl for no other reason then to feel what it was like to murder someone. Well now they know. They also will know what it's like to never have all the things that life has to offer now that they will be sitting in a jail cell for the rest of their lives. They won't have boyfriends/husbands. They won't have children. They won't drive nice cars or live in nice homes. They won't have any of the things that you and I take for granted every day.

So I say, enjoy your feeling because that's the only feeling you're going to have until the day you die.

I'd Never Last In Today's Schools

A simple animation of a couple of stick figures and one "shoots" another is enough to get you kicked out of school until you can pass a mental health test from a school psychologist? Jeez, I'd be considered a full blown threat by those standards. I used to draw all sorts of disturbing things while doodling around.

I used to have discussions with my chemistry teacher about explosives and ways of killing mass amounts of people (the first Gulf War was going on at the time and there were news reports of Saddam's bunkers), so we used to discuss how we would get around the problems of underground bunkers. Sure, it was unorthodox, but my teacher saw it as a way of encouraging thinking in chemistry, physics, and other scientific areas. I used to mix chemicals in my garage and make explosives and set them off in a nearby abandoned area. Safety first. :) I owned knives, guns (I got my first rifle at 5 which was stored at my Grandfather's house), and other assorted weaponry.

The difference is that I never thought about killing people around me. I knew what was right and what was wrong. That was taught to me at a very early age, and even though I went through an unorthodox "explosives, guns, knives" stage, it never went beyond good old fashioned curiosity.

The point is is that in today's society, school officials can't be too careful about even minor things that normal teenage boys think about. Otherwise you have a massacre on your hands and lawsuits up the ying yang. You'll have screaming parents crying "why didn't you do something about this". Hindsight is always 20/20.

    Sales Of Existing Homes Plummets

Well no kidding! With rising mortgage rates and people stretching themselves too thin as it is, it's no wonder that people aren't buying new homes. However, those of you out there who save your money, invest wisely, and don't overstretch yourselves, now is a good time to purchase a home if you can afford it. Ray Nagin Strikes Again!

Hey Ray, when you have to CONTINUALLY apologize for your comments, it's probably best to keep your mouth shut and get to working on rebuilding New Orleans.

"Let me tell you something. You ought to go to Philly and you will appreciate how clean New Orleans is."

Perhaps if you worked on rebuilding and stopped blaming others for your failure to get your citizens out of the city as quickly as possible, maybe more people would be alive today. There was SEVERAL days notice that a major storm was heading towards New Orleans. Ray Nagin had an obligation to evacuate the city and waited until it was too late.

As a side note, if you're dumb enough to stay in the path of a Catagory 5 hurricane, you can't blame FEMA for your idiocy. If a hurricane of that magnitude is coming my way, I'm leaving. I'm packing up my family and friends and we're getting as far away as possible. Too poor to drive away? Walk. You can easily cover 20 miles in a day. The government isn't going to hand hold you the entire way. I don't expect the government to hand hold me if a disaster hits my neighborhood.

It's been more than a year and a half and there are people STILL taking handouts from the government. How much longer do they need? Am I missing something? I've been kicked in the teeth by life many times, some of them to the point where I had to rebuild from NOTHING and it didn't take me this long to get back on my feet.

Am I being insensitive? Am I wrong here? Am I the only one who wants to help these people get back on their feet instead of enabling them to do nothing but suck on the proverbial tit?

When Your Mind Conflicts Between Ideals

Some condemned men who die via lethal injection may have experienced excruciating pain and may have suffocated to death according to this article.

They said the potassium chloride injection, which causes an intense burning sensation, did not reliably hasten death because prisoners given it died no faster than those who got only the other two drugs.

They concluded that pancuronium was the only reliably fatal part of the cocktail, meaning the executed may actually have died of suffocation as it paralysed their lungs.

On one hand, they brutally murdered someone and deserved to be put in this position. I don't feel sorry for them in the least. Many times the victim was the victim of another crime (rape, robbery, kidnapping, etc.) and were likely terrified until the moment they died. Because of this, part of me doesn't give two shits if they suffered when they were put down like the rabid animals they were.

On the other hand, our Constitution clearly prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment". Any manner of death that is not done correctly can be viewed as "cruel". These problems with lethal injection need to be addressed and corrected as soon as possible. If not, liberal politicians will seize upon this and start to commute sentences of people who deserve to die.

Although I do have a solution that will fix the problems with lethal injection such as doctors not willing to administer the drugs, possible complications and such: Gunshot to the head. Three to the head, you know they're dead. I think I heard that phrase in a movie once, but it's true. That will fix all problems.

Harry Reid STILL Doesn't Get It

Good God, this guy's skull must be thicker then anyone in the history of the planet. He's saying that Congress will pass the funding budget with the timeline in place. That part is true, they do have the votes to pass the law. However, the President has threatened to veto the bill because of the timeline and Democrats simply don't have the votes to overturn a Presidential veto.

So instead of taking that out and giving the troops the money that they need, they come out with this laughable quote: "If the president disagrees, let him come to us with an alternative. Instead of sending us back to square one with a veto, some tough talk and nothing more, let him come to the table in the spirit of bipartisanship that Americans demand and deserve."

The President has ALREADY given you an alternative. Pass the budget without the timeline. You insist on putting it in and you don't have the votes to override the veto, so YOU'RE the one who's giving "tough talk and nothing more".

As a side note, Harry Reid isn't very popular with the troops on the ground. This soldier particularly takes issue with Harry stating that the war is "lost". A good read of how things are going on the ground and how the Iraqi civilians really feel about us.

    Arab Views Of Virginia Tech

This article is so unbelievably full of shit, I just HAD to post it. The article's text is in bold, mine is not.

The massacre of 32 students at Virginia Tech University has left Americans dumbstruck. It is the latest and so far the most bloody in a series of murderous attacks at US educational institutions. At each of the appalling crime scenes, youngsters have settled grudges or played out video game fantasies with powerful automatic weapons. And those weapons are sold over the counter in virtually each of America’s 50 states.

Umm...No you can't. You cannot buy "powerful automatic weapons" over the counter. You can buy them if you have a special, hard to get license, but automatic weapons are almost NEVER used in the commission of a crime. The best known criminal use was the North Hollywood shoot out a few years ago.

However at this hour of America’s horrified grief, in which all decent people worldwide share, (Doing well so far) it is worth pointing out that there is a lesson here which, on past evidence, no US administration will choose even to hear, let alone learn. Here we go, he's going to blow it.

That lesson is this: if a suicide bomber walks into a crowded market in Iraq and blows himself up along with 32 innocent bystanders, it is terrorism. (True) If the same thing happens in America, it is not. (WHAT?!?!? Yes it IS terrorism, regardless of where is happens) Americans — and by extension anyone in the country — enjoy a constitutional right to bear arms. However anachronistic this may seem to outsiders given that the days of frontiersmen and citizens’ militias are long past, there still remains a powerful lobby, funded by the weaponry manufacturers themselves, that defends what it claims is a fundamental right.

Sorry buddy, the Constitution is what says it's a fundamental right.

Yet at the same time, the Americans lose no time in insisting that others around the world surrender their weaponry — whether the weaponry belongs to Afghan tribesmen, Iraqi neighborhood patrols or, on a larger scale, the nuclear arms of North Korea and the suspected Iranian atomic program. Arab news has long said that Iran shouldn't be trusted with nuclear weapons. Plus, when we're fighting against a force such as the Taliban, why should we leave them with weapons? The scale of the weapon is irrelevant. Uhh...yeah it is relevant. If I have a gun, I can only kill so many people. If I have a nuclear weapon, I could kill hundreds of thousands to even millions. There is an inherent moral contradiction in the rights that Americans seek to maintain for their own citizens and the demands they make on the citizens of other countries. We aren't making any demands against the Iranian or North Korean citizens, so your line of thought is bullshit so far. The unfortunate truth is that because the US has consistently sought to impose different standards on non-Americans, it has left itself open to charges of hypocrisy. Its partial treatment of Israel with its own nuclear weaponry, created from stolen or supplied US technology, only compounds this. Here we go, it's all the JEWS fault right? All nations naturally and understandably maneuver to gain the best advantage. It is part of the international power game. But America, the sole superpower, needs the trust of its friends and allies if it is to play an effective international role. So all nations can maneuver to gain the best advantage but America can't?

Its constant use of double standards destroys that trust. The damage unfortunately goes much further. Most Americans simply do not see the falsity of their own position. So sure are they of their own moral rectitude that they utterly discount the standards and concerns of others as either irrelevant or wrong. This is all the easier for them because of the widespread ignorance of the outside world which, in the present administration, extends from the man in the street all the way to the president himself. I seem to have a good grasp of international relations, especially when it comes to the Middle East. This lack of international knowledge and awareness is the more remarkable given that America is such a rich mix of races and cultures. Yet once within the capacious US borders, immigrants sign up to a constitution which includes this obsolete right to carry guns whose sole purpose is to kill. Tell that to the people who hold criminals at bay for the police or defend themselves or others from harm. Gangland murders and campus massacres by deluded youths armed with lethal firepower are the price Americans pay for this blindness. So criminals armed with guns are the reason why we should disarm ourselves? How will we defend ourselves? Though they may be terrified and deeply disturbed, they do not see such crimes as terrorism or indeed as constitutionally state-sponsored terrorism. So if it's state sponsored terrorism, then the government had a hand in the Virginia Tech massacre?

It's funny that this guy fails to mention the problems of his own country. REAL automatic weapons and explosives are available to just about anyone. Why else would there be terrorist attacks in the Middle East ALL THE TIME? We have our fair share of idiots and criminals, but we tend to treat them as idiots and criminals instead of "martyr's" who killed the "evil Jews" and are now heading up to heaven. Face it, if everyone in the Middle East would stop seeing terrorist attacks as "martyrdom missions" and start seeing it for the evil acts of terrible people the world would be a better place.

What's Wrong With Radio - Off Topic

Well it's about time someone tried something radically different with radio. Clear Channel is testing out commercial free radio with an hourly "sponsor". Commercial's were one of my biggest complaints against radio and it's the main reason why I bought my Sirius satellite radio. I got tired of listening to 20 minutes of commercials, have the morning guy talk for 10 minutes, followed by another 20 minutes of commercials. I'm not exaggerating either, I timed it once.

Granted, commercial radio has to be paid for from somewhere, but 20 minutes per hour or more is ridiculous. Will this help terrestrial radio get back it's audience? Only time will tell, but I have to tell you that I cannot see a reason why I wouldn't switch back. The satellite folks seem to get it right the first time. I get to listen to any genre of music I like without commercials. Personally, I like Raw Dog comedy on channel 104 if anyone is curious. However, it's uncensored comedy, so it might not be your cup of tea. :) God, I sound like a commercial. :)

Why The World Shuns The Palestinians

The Palestinian people have been wondering out loud lately as to why the world shuns their new government and refuses to give financial aid to them. We've been saying all along that Hamas is a violent, terrorist organization and yet all we keep hearing is "no they aren't". Well you can't say that when their spokesman is calling for renewed attacks against Israel.

No where else on earth could people actually get away with such blindingly stupid ideas. Do you think that America or any other nation on earth would deal with a country if they elected Al-Qaeda to their leadership posts? The only reason why there isn't a bigger call for Hamas to be removed is because they haven't pulled off a large, one time loss of life terrorist attack like Al-Qaeda has.

The world is right in removing all aid to Hamas and the Palestinian people for their election of this terrorist organization. It lets them know the consequences of their actions. When they complain they haven't been paid for their government jobs and they are living in poverty, you can just look at your elected officials for the reason. It's their job to manage the government and they STILL refuse to make peace with Israel. Until they are removed from power or they hit rock bottom, this will always be the case.

    God How I love Hypocrites

Catching hypocrites is one thing I love to do on a nice sunny Monday morning. Usually, it's people preaching morality but having a mistress on the side (Jesse Jackson). But on Earth Day, all the environmentalist idiots come out in force and try to tell us how to live and work and vote.

Well Sheryl Crow has told us that one square of toilet paper should be all that we use per sitting. "except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

I'd hate to be her boyfriend because you know damned good and well that even three squares of toilet paper isn't enough to finish up your business in a clean manner. But of course, the real issue is that Sheryl likes to preach about environmentalism and such, but her traveling circus requires 3 18 wheelers, 4 buses, and 6 cars.

How is that being "environmentalist" Sheryl? How is it that 13 vehicles are needed for you and your crew of roadies, make up artists and hangers on? Certainly they could all take a Greyhound bus or fly coach right? Certainly you could ship most of your equipment via UPS right? I'm just saying don't tell the public how we need to do one thing when you yourself won't do it.

Engineer Sending Computer Codes To Iran

Granted it was for a nuclear power plant, and there does not appear to be terrorist connections, but this guy needs to be tried for treason. Who knows what the Iranians plan on doing with these codes? Who knows if it was simply to make a better nuclear power plant or to make it LOOK like they were trying to make a nuclear power plant.

According to court records, the software is used only for training plant employees, but allowed users access to details on the Palo Verde control rooms and the plant layout. In October, authorities alleged, the software was used to download training materials from Tehran, using a Palo Verde user identification.

Why else would anyone want access to this? Our nuclear plans, documents and designs are very sensitive information and the Iranian government, regardless of if they were involved with this or not, has been poking it's nose around our defenses and other areas and it's high time we started treating these breaches as the serious matters that they are.

No more terrorist cases that end up with a mere 5 year sentence. No more spies getting off secrets to foreign governments and using the defense of "it wasn't classified". You start putting people in jail for life or executing those convicted of treason, you'll see a significant drop in these cases, either because they'll be more careful, or they won't want to risk it.

Did nothing to prevent a known threat from growing and did little once it was known that it was a threat bent on attacking US interests.

Was willing to lie to a grand jury over his infidelities (which I'm ok with if he had only lied to his wife and child. That's his business not mine, but once it went to a legal proceeding he had the duty to tell the truth, even if it was over something mundane)

If you want to make him "cheerleader" for America, fine. But don't put him in a position where he needs to make decisions that effect American interests. He's already proven that he can't make tough decisions about the welfare of US citizens.

That is of course, if you actually WIN the Presidency Hillary.

Possible Two Month Budget Extension For Troops

Wow, two months, that ought to help. Regardless, my favorite quotes are from Rep. Jim Moran.

He was not as clear about whether the non-military spending, such as money for peanut storage, reimbursement for spinach farmers whose crops were recalled and asbestos removal in the Capitol, would be included. Moran simply said he didn’t like it.

“I wish we’d take that s--t out,” Moran said. “It was all put in by leadership after we wrote the bill, and it didn’t get us a single vote.

You're right Mr. Moran, it didn't get you a single vote, but it did show that Democrats are willing to lower themselves to pork spending in order to buy votes. It shows that Democrats are desperate to appease their fringe constituents about the war in Iraq. It also shows that the stereotype of "tax and spend" Democrats was quite true.

"Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child," he wrote. "I'm sorry, as everyone who knows me is aware, for losing my temper with my child. I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now. You have to go through this to understand. (Although I hope you never do.) I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case."

So let me get this straight, the RELEASE of this voicemail to the public was what "saddened" you the most?? The fact that you ripped into your child like an adult and called her a bunch of horrible names isn't up on the top of your list??

Then he goes on to say that the court oder was violated. He's trying to shift blame for what he's said because he knows that he's been caught and people are rightfully pissed at him.

Typical celebrity bullshit "apology". Don't bother to just say "I lost my temper with my daughter and said some cruel things. I apologize to her and no one else."

I could actually respect a guy for saying that. I'd still like to see his knuckles racked for it, but it would make me think better of him. But instead he blames everyone else in the same breath that he "apologizes" to his daughter. Good one Alec, way to stand up and be a man.

    Nuclear Security

There is no greater threat then having our nuclear designs and secrets out into the public. That's why when I read about the lax security in place at Los Alamo's National Labs it pisses me off. A woman was caught with thousands of pages worth of classified documents in her house. However, it does appear that she was merely getting behind in her work and took the documents home (she copied them) to work on them.

While I can appreciate someone getting behind and wanting to work on them at home, there is NO excuse when you're working with some of the most sensitive documents in America.

She would save highly-classified documents onto a "thumb drive" and then take the material home to work on after hours, she has said. The practice of inserting thumb drives was specifically forbidden by then DOE secretary Bill Richardson in 1999, but was apparently not uncommon at Los Alamos. Using thumb drives, and at least one wireless (WIFI) device that was improperly in the secure area, it would have been possible to transfer secret material from classified computers to non-classifed computers, a process known as "migration" . Since the discovery of Quintana's breach last fall, computer ports have been plugged with glue to prevent thumb drives being inserted.

While that's a permanent way of dealing with the "thumb drives" issue, there's a lot more, less destructive ways of doing it.

My network is much more secure then the Los Alamos National Labs?? We don't run wireless AT ALL. I don't care if they use revolving 1024 bit encryption keys that change every 2 seconds, if you can see it, you can crack it. Thumb drives are limited to a select few people and everything is logged including who copied what to what drive. EVERY FILE. So if something were to happen, I know who did what when. But then again, my work isn't with sensitive, classified materials like this.

The Los Alamos IT staff really need to get on the ball here. None of my critical servers run Windows. They are all automatically updated nightly, including every available security patch. I get daily reports on the various activities that are ran on the server, and anything out of the ordinary is thoroughly investigated. Regular penetration tests are ran with the latest and greatest tools.

If they have problems or questions, I'd be happy to help out. Network security is one of my forte's. Plus, they could let me have a nuclear bomb casing as payment (without all the innards of course). I might use it as a deterrent against those pesky neighbors of mine.

    We Police Our Own

So here's the difference between Republicans and Democrats on the topic of corruption.

Democrats put suspected corrupt members such as William Jefferson into positions of power.

Republicans resign until the investigation is complete.

I'm all for cleaning out corrupt members of Congress, regardless of political party, but there's no way in hell that a suspected corrupt member of Congress would get a promotion like Democrats gave William Jefferson.

The VERY least thing that Democrats should have done if Jefferson wouldn't resign is put him somewhere where he didn't have access to classified materials. His obvious guilt (who keeps $90k in their freezer?) means he's a security risk and he cannot be trusted, but do Democrats care about that? Obviously not, they only seem to care about holding onto the razor thin majority in both parts of the Senate.

"John recognizes that if we are to succeed in restoring trust between the American people and their elected leaders, this action is necessary, and I commend him for having the courage to do the right thing," Boehner said in a statement.

So when are Democrats going to do the same? They call for Bush's impeachment or resignation with such a passion, you'd think that their very lives depended on it, but there's no fire in their bellies when it comes to Jefferson or Clinton's allowing Osama Bin Laden to live after he was known to be a threat.

The Dumbest Woman On The Planet

I know I give people a lot of crap for the various things they say and do, especially politicians, but this woman goes into my "Idiot Hall Of Fame".

A woman decided to go pay for a field trip for her child, then when the teachers had their backs turned, she pulled out a fake cap gun and pointed it at the children and pulled the trigger several times.

Read that proceeding paragraph again. Twice if you need to.

"A staff member and several children initially thought the gun was real and were fearful," police chief Mark Johnson said in a press release.

"A teacher's assistant witnessed her take a gun and point it directly toward four to five kids.

Now tell me that if a cop was at the school on unrelated business (happens all the time with various things), and he saw this, that this woman wouldn't be in the hospital or the morgue? I know if I saw what looked like a gun in this womans hands, I'd shoot her. I'd rather get sued by her (you know she'd find some sleazy lawyer to take the case), rather then have the nightmares of children being shot going through my head for the rest of my life.

    McCain: "Tough"

So everyone got their panties all in a bunch over John McCain's recent "bomb bomb bomb Iran" bit. I personally wasn't offended, as much of the country wasn't offended. However, you're always going to have people who are professional "I'm offended" types who are hypersensitive to anything. Most times those who said something "offensive" give a half assed "apology" because they think it'll make things go away.

Well John McCain took a different approach: "lighten up and get a life."

It's so refreshing to see a politician, regardless of political party, stand up and tell critics to stuff it.

Asked by reporters Thursday if he thought the joke was insensitive he said: "Insensitive to what? The Iranians?"

Why is it that people CAN'T be insensitive? Reporters were obviously prodding McCain to see if they could get something out of him, but it looks like he wasn't having any of it. I make comments all the time that could be considered "insensitive" or "offensive", but basically, I tell those people to go screw themselves because I have Freedom Of Speech. It goes both ways. You'll notice Democrats can say all sorts of offensive things and then cry "Freedom of Speech", but when a Republican does it, people call for apologies left and right.

McCain was right to tell those who were offended to "lighten up". A lot of people in this country need to.

Harry Reid has proven himself to be a liar again

    Quoted November 30, 2006:

Now he's the commander in chief, and we're not going to do anything to limit funding or cut off funds, even though there are some on the outside who suggest that,'' House leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has said. "I think we want to make sure that the troops have everything that they need.''

    April 20, 2007:

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino called the Democrats' stance "disturbing" and all but dared Reid to cut off funding for the war.

"If this is his true feeling, then it makes one wonder if he has the courage of his convictions and therefore will decide to de-fund the war," she said.

Reid has left that possibility open. The majority leader supports separate legislation that would cut off funding for combat missions after March 2008. The proposal would allow money to be spent on such efforts as counterterrorism and training Iraqi security forces.

Reid and other Democrats were initially reluctant to discuss such draconian measures to end the war, but no longer.

This is why you can't trust Democrats. They say one thing, then they turn around and knife you in the back when you're not looking. This isn't even some fringe Democrat, this is the Majority Leader in Congress. This is one of the ones that most Democrats look up to.

The Pentagon has already said that they have funds available until June. If Democrats don't have the necessary votes to push their bill through to override a Presidential veto, then all they are doing by waiting is hurting the troops in the field. This is the worst kind of underhanded, sneaky bullshit to try to appease their constituents who don't have the stomach to fight against those who wish to wipe us and the Iraqi's out.

They say it was a war over oil, if so, why didn't we just keep it when we had it in 1991? I remember bumper stickers from that time frame saying "no blood for oil".

If you think gas is expensive now, watch what happens to it when Iraq can't pump it out because of the violence that will erupt because we aren't there to stop it.

They say that we should just let the Iraqi's have their "civil war" and we should do nothing about it. So you're saying that we should allow innocent civilians get slaughtered when they are going to the market by al-Sadr's militia instead of taking them on with trained, armored soldiers who have a much better shot at defeating them?

But then they turn around and make impassioned speeched about how we should "do something" about the situation in Darfur. So which is it? Should we go help fight in Darfur, but not in Iraq? I fail to see the difference between the two.

    Hypocrites.

    Gonzales Made Things Worse

In his testimony, just about everyone on both sides of the fence agree that Alberto Gonzales' testimony yesterday made him look like the sneaky little fuck his is. Republicans are now asking for his resignation. That really says something when people who are rabidly loyal are calling for your ouster. Of course, he's not budging. I wonder how much longer he thinks he still has a job for?

Early Birthday Present - Part 2

I normally don't report on celebrity news because I could personally give a shit less, but I can't resist on this one. We all can agree that Alec Baldwin is snobbish liberal douche bag right? Well apparently he decided to scream at his 12 year old daughter like he would an adult. He called her names, threatened her and basically showed the world what kind of man he really is. Take a look and listen here.

Baldwin's lawyer, Vicki Greene, told TMZ, "Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you're telling me you've got you shouldn't have." So they aren't denying that he said it, they are just pissed that the world sees Alec for the prick that he is.

    Happy birthday.....to me....:)

    Holy Crap On A Stick!

My birthday isn't for another couple of months, but I just got one hell of a birthday present. I've spoken before about Representative Carolyn McCarthy's bill that would reintroduce the assault weapons ban and make it tougher then the 1994 bill ever was. Now, she was on MSNBC and the topic of the legislation that she drafted came up and the host of the show asked her about a "barrel shroud".

She admitted that she didn't know. You liberals out there can defend this all you want, but if you're going to try to ban something, you sure as hell better know what you're trying to ban. It's all in the video, take a peek. This has almost 0% chance of passing now that she's admitted that she doesn't know and took a guess, wrongly, as to what it is. Do us a favor Mrs. McCarthy, stick to things you know about and leave our Constitutional rights alone. It says "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.", just in case you are too busy to look it up.

    Iran Making Nuclear Fuel

So the IAEA now confirms that Iran is indeed making nuclear fuel in it's 1,300 centrifuges. The question is: What is the world going to do about it? Are they going to take a hard line like they should, or are they gun shy because of Iraq and willing to let a threat increase in strength every day to make a few bucks? Let's take a look at a damning statement:

The three-paragraph note by IAEA deputy director Olli Heinonen also said Iran had stopped letting inspectors verify design work at the Arak heavy water reactor, under construction and scheduled for launching in 2009.

Iran has to date refused to let the IAEA install video cameras pointed at the underground centrifuges and stopped allowing snap inspections last year in retaliation for U.N. pressure, saying it had no legal obligation to either step.

The threat continues to grow here people. You have a nation who actively supports the insurgency in Iraq, supports Hezbollah and Hamas, called for the destruction of a nation (don't tell me it was a mistranslation, the threat was repeated many times and translated by many different translators), and even their Arab neighbors don't trust them so much they are wanting to start their own nuclear programs in retaliation.

This situation needs to be nipped in the ass as soon as possible, otherwise you'll have yourself a standoff of catastrophic levels.

    Democrat Claims Iraq War "Lost"

I fail to see his logic here. Maybe someone can help me understand it. We decimated the Iraqi military within months. We removed a brutal dictator from power. We freed a nation from tyranny. We removed a known threat who was planning terrorist attacks on our soil. We brought terrorists to Iraq rather than New York or any other US city. We removed a man who was in possession of WMD's regardless of what liberals will have you believe.

The problem is that liberals don't want to see any of these things. People automatically assumed that we were going to open up a warehouse filled to the rafters with sarin and VX gas. Saddam was very concerned with his place in history and if we had found WMD's in quantity, it would confirm everyone's suspicions. So he hid them. We simply haven't found all of them. The UN has stated that Saddam has had weapons that were not accounted for, so where did they go? Iraq is a very large place, so it's not inconceivable that he hid them and we simply will find them months, years, or even decades after the fact.

But that's not good enough for Harry Reid. He wants a "nintendo" war. He wants things to be in a nice, clean package. He wants war to be over with and everyone to be happy and live in fantasy land. He doesn't want to look at hard statistics showing that the increase in troops is pushing deaths down significantly across the country. He doesn't want you all to see that Bush was right.

He even has the nerve to point out similarities to the Vietnam war. That's fine, let's continue with those similarities. Democrats undermined troops, cut funding, and were responsible for a loss of morale.

Who better to point that out then a guy who was in BOTH wars, Lieutenant Colonel Joe Repya and his now infamous speech "I'm tired.
" Even Lt. Col. Repya can see the hypocracy and half truths coming out of Democrats.

The truth is, is that the Iraq war was won YEARS ago. Nation building isn't something that the military normally does, so yes, mistakes will be made, but don't bullshit me and tell me that you "support the troops" while you undermine their sacrifices and say that the war is "lost" when it isn't. Doing so basically tells them that everything they fought and died for was for nothing.

Just because you didn't get your way with the White House, doesn't mean you get to throw your hands up and call it quits. Children do that, not leaders in Congress. So grow up, and get over it.

Keith Olbermann Misleads Public About Gun Laws

At least one of the weapons used by the shooter is believed, as we said, to be in nine millimeter semi-automatic pistol, which would look like this one, with a clip designed to hold more than 10 shots. Clips like those were banned under the Assault Weapons Law of 1994, but Congress and President Bush allowed that law to expire more than two years ago.

    WRONG!

Clips like that were banned from being MANUFACTURED. Existing clips were in fact, LEGAL to buy and sell during the entire decade that the law was in effect.

What bothers me most is that Keith's blatant attempt to take a snip at Congress and President Bush for something that neither of them were responsible for. No one except authorities even knows how large the clips were that the shooter uses, but a high profile "journalist" such as Keith Olbermann doesn't care about the facts, he cares about the ratings and his burning hatred of Republicans and President Bush.
