First off, I'm a bit skeptical about this simply because whenever we have one of our aircraft shot down, you see wreckage splashed across the front page of CNN by whomever shot it down. It's being reported by only one news station so far, plus it's coming from an Iranian member of parliament. Iran is in a nasty confrontation right now with us and I would think that they would be quite proud of this accomplishment and would love to shove it down our throats.
Besides, what would it prove even if it were true? All information is passed in real time back to the main base. The only thing Iran would have to get out of shooting it down is cutting off, temporarily, a way of us getting intelligence. You don't think we have just one in the region do you? We'll see if this story gets picked up by the mainstream media or if it's just hot air coming from Iran.
