Harry Reid: Clinton's Iran Comment Is "Not The American Way"

HARRY REID: Well, I am certainly doing my best not to take sides in this presidential thing. But I think that flexing our muscles, threatening people, threatening countries, is not the American way. We have -- as President Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt said, "speak softly, carry a big stick." Words to that effect. And that's what I think we should do. Speak softly, make sure that people know that we can react if we have to, but let's not go around threatening people.

Yep, from good old Harry Reid.  The same guy who said "the war in Iraq is lost".  As much as I hate to defend Hillary, she was asked about a nuclear attack from Iran against the Israeli's.  She responded that we would indeed help our allies in that time of need.  I guess helping allies isn't "the American way" according to Harry, but then again, this is the same guy who backs down from any threat known to man, and I don't think he even understands what "the American way" really means.

So, in the spirit of things, I have decided to let Harry know what "the American way" is.

We help people - That's right.  We helped Iran when they had an earthquake that killed 90,000 people.  We did the same for Pakistan with their earthquake that killed 80,000 people.  We helped France, Britain, and other European nations during WWII.  We helped Kuwait and Saudi Arabia when they were invaded and threatened by Saddam.  We helped Liberia and other African nations when they were having genocidal warlords going across the nation in a bloodbath.  We help our friends, our neighbors, our coworkers.  When the shit hits the fan, you know you can count on America to help you in your darkest hour.

We laugh - We'll gladly give you the shirt off our backs, but we'll also sit down with you, tell stories, and have a good time with you.  No one knows how to party like an American. Don't believe me?  Ever been to a party thrown by Sam Kinison?  And he was a former preacher.

We're inventive - Medicine, technology, cars, GPS, the Internet, Google, these are all things that were invented, or perfected by Americans.  And what do we do with these things?  Help the world.  AIDS drugs, food growing techniques, earth moving equipment, and more have been used to help fight off some of mankind's worst diseases and natural disasters.

And do we get credit for it?  No, of course not, we get hatred and envy.

But when a disaster happens, what do we do?  We forgive those who have hated us in the past and help them out (see Iran above).

So Harry, when an ally like Israel is attacked with a nuclear weapon, the American way is to destroy those who perpetrated that act.

Perhaps if you weren't an elitist prick, you'd know that.
