So, I'm sitting at home, reading over the Constitution (don't laugh, some people like to golf, this is my hobby), and I came across a VERY interesting section and came to a startling conclusion
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
What that means is, is that Congress cannot pass a law to be retroactive in dealing with past illegal activities.
And of course, with the above sentence, you immediately begin to think of the telecommunications retroactive immunity deal that President Bush and some members of Congress are trying to push through.
It is the job of Congress to know their responsibilities when it comes to the Constitution, and if they fail in that, then they are knowingly passing a law that is against the Constitution.
People don't seem to understand that the telecommunications companies that spied on ordinary Americans have committed VERY serious crimes and that's why they are being sued for billions of dollars.
If members of Congress pass this legislation, they need to be removed from office, regardless of political party. You simply don't violate Constitutional rights of law abiding Americans.
