That includes if you're a lesbian couple who get married, civil union, or whatever you want to call it. If you conceive a child during that marriage, you are responsible for that child until it's 18th birthday just like any other heterosexual couple would be. That includes child support. Although the birth mother was incorrect for not allowing the partner woman visitation rights.
I'm all for equality for everyone, include gay people. So if gay people want to truly be on even grounds with everyone else, they have to take the good with the bad. No person or group deserves special rights simply because of the way they are.
