What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that Barack Obama isn't necessarily running on his own two feet and people like him, that part is only partially true. He's also running with the "I'm not Hillary" campaign, which is a dangerous way to go. Sure, Hillary right now has a commanding lead, but there are people, who given the choice, would vote for anyone but her.
However, Obama has gained a new supporter in Zbigniew Brzezinski. Anytime a expert in your political party says you seem to "get it" when it comes to foreign policy and that your opponent doesn't, you should be trumpeting that almost endlessly. To tell you the truth, backed into a corner, I'd vote for Obama over Hillary simply because of her double speak and lack of long term thinking on various issues.
Brzezinski, 79, dismissed the notion that Clinton, 59, a New York senator and the wife of former President Bill Clinton, is more seasoned than Obama, 46. ``Being a former first lady doesn't prepare you to be president,'' Brzezinski said.
Ouch.
However, Obama did make one distinction that I found to be very interesting:
"It's one thing if China is producing our Barbie dolls, it's another thing if China is producing our silicon chips," Obama said. "We have to have some sense strategically of what are those things that are vital to our national interests and national security. Those need to be manufactured here."
However, in the same article, he lists Republicans he's willing to work with. However, he DOESN'T list them all, leaving me to wonder if he's going to try to play political games instead of trying to solve America's problems and concerns. If that's the case, he's not the man for the job. He simply says "I'm willing to work with this Republican, and that one, and that one", but he doesn't say "I'm willing to work with ALL Republicans". That should be a matter of concern.
