It would be one thing if they were any other country, but because China has over 1.5 billion people, problems are exponentially worse. This included pollution. China is trying to get pollution down before the Olympics next year and I don't think they're actually going to make it happen.
With the money flowing, people need to get to around town and cars are usually the only way to go. With China already sucking down the oil as fast as it can get it, you'll start seeing a major health crisis in China in the coming years. People will start having all sorts of heart and lung problems and there won't be a lot that China can do about it simply because they have too many people.
Sure, we have our own pollution problems here in America, but you only see the problem in very populated places like Los Angeles. With China, the problem is much, much larger.
