He predicted dire problems and "millions of deaths" in 2007. Didn't happen. Let's face it, if God wanted to talk to someone, I think he would choose someone with a little more charisma. Someone who said:

I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"

He's wrong in his predictions, so when it's proven that he's wrong he makes the absurd statement of: "All I can think is that somehow the people of God prayed and God in his mercy spared us."
No Pat, God didn't spare us. God simply doesn't talk to you and you're bullshitting gullible people into donating millions of dollars towards your organization.
Put it this way: Comedian Sam Kinison used to be a minister and he would get in trouble with church officials when he would say: "Keep your money. God is in your heart. I don't need your money. If you feel you want to give us money, that's ok. But God doesn't require money to get into heaven."
And he would point out the hypocrisy of religious leaders:
