Rules And Policies Of The Forums

I've been getting a lot of questions about the forums, so I thought I'd be clear on the policies and rules that I have in place.

Privacy:

Unless I am greeted at the front door with a law enforcement officer, your privacy is strictly confidential. Your email address and other bits of information are not going to be seen by anyone's eyes except mine and anyone else who helps me run the back end of this site.

Since I'm the only one who runs it, that means just me. :)

Your email address will NEVER be sold, traded, shared, or otherwise leave my protection to any spammers, advertisers, or anyone else, except where applicable by law. (such as a crime being committed and the FBI comes to my door with a warrant.)

Warrants: Law enforcement officers MUST have a court ordered warrant in hand to get any information about anyone on this site. You won't be seeing me wilfully sharing your information like telecommunications companies did just a short while ago with the NSA.

If you're that worried about it, when you register on the forums, simply put in a mailinator.com address. I use it for when I'm super paranoid about spammers, but you can have it apply to this situation as well.

Differing political ideology:

Your posts will NEVER be removed for your opinion. If you are a hard core left wing, liberal wingnut, you may feel free to post as often as you'd like, about any topic you'd like, and it will not be removed. I don't work like liberal sites where if a conservative comes on and spits out their opinion, it's immediately removed because it doesn't jive with what everyone else is agreeing with *cough* Daily Kos *cough*.

I don't expect you to be polite. Manners are a nice thing, but occasionally, a debate may turn into a "fuck you". That's the nice thing about America, you have the right to tell someone to fuck off, and you have that right here. I'm not saying that every argument will end that way, but if it does, then so be it.

Of course, if you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact me and I will address them immediately.
