Personal Issues Already Coming Up For Presidential Elections

Now the issue of who was doing what during the Vietnam war is coming up for Presidential candidates. This article looks at Rudy Guiliani's past and looks into whether he should be concerned about being labeled a "draft dodger". Personally, if everything in the article is true, he has nothing to worry about. I do like Rudy's proactive approach to issues rather then waiting for them to come along and then have to deal with them.

John Kerry had a similar issue with the Swift Boat folks and the problem Kerry didn't understand was that in ignoring the Swift Boat people, he validated what they were saying about him. When someone speaks something about you that you think is a lie, you need to tell everyone it is a lie. When you're quiet, people think it's the truth and that's what happened in Kerry's case and it quite possibly cost him the election, among other major problems with his campaign.

Now Kerry's grilling a possible ambassador to Belgium who donated $50,000 to the Swift Boat people about his donation. While it may give Kerry some satisfaction, he should have dealt with it in 2004.

Rudy Guiliani's proactive approach to all possible issues allows him to come up with counter arguments and evidence of him speaking the truth. This is a major political advantage when dealing with a major campaign such as this.
