Granted it's from a TV show, but everything that Penn says and does is completely within his First Amendment rights. I personally think that flag burning is offensive and disrespectful. However, if you want to burn an American flag, that's your right and I'll defend your right to do so.
You may not agree with my thoughts and statements, but I have the right to say them, as you have the right to disagree with me. There's no other country on earth because of those rights.
