New Refineries

Well it's about time we built a new gasoline refinery. We haven't built a new one in the US since 1976. I was a toddler when that happened.

Here's the thing though, I'm done with gasoline. The first time a car comes out that is reliable, relatively affordable, and uses NO gas, I'm purchasing it. I'm simply sick of listening to the anti-American rallies in the Middle East, even before the war in Iraq. You don't treat a customer like that. I'd be happy if we completely ignore the Middle East, except for Israel and friendly Arab nations. Let them sell their oil to the Chinese and the Indians. It doesn't matter how you slice it, the loss of the American market by OPEC nations would be a devestating blow that they couldn't recover from. China already has massive pollution, and they couldn't possibly take up the slack that the US market loss would cause.

The best part? Funding for terrorism would dry up and those who used to think they had us by the balls would now have the roles reversed because we are the OPEC of food production. With food prices skyrocketing, we could easily sell our food to them, jack up the prices significantly, and bleed them dry.

You know what grows in sand? Not a fucking thing.
