Funny Comments From Around The Office

I work with a bunch of Liberals. After yesterday's election, I posted on here congratulating Democrats on their win. It's called sportsmanship, some of the people I work with should look it up. I overheard a woman today who stated this: "I can't believe we won. I was watching the news last night and I thought "Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, your 15 minutes are OVER.""

I had to laugh when I heard this. It's this same sort of shortsightedness that will doom the Democratic party if this is the way they behave themselves in their reclamation of the House. No one likes a sore loser, but they sure as hell don't like a sore winner. I am wondering what my co-worker meant by such comments. Did she "misspeak" as so many Democrats claim? Does she believe that the employment contracts of her 3 examples will be suddenly canceled and they will be out of a job? Or is she just an idiot who doesn't understand how things work and is just excited that the person she voted for won? I've spoken with her about various subjects and my judgment is for the last option.

I do congratulate the Democratic party on their big win. I am unsure if it was a single thing that pushed voters one way or another, or if it was a culmination of things. But I do think that we need to get back to our Republican roots if we ever want to return to the power we've enjoyed over the last 12 years. Corruption, scandal, and the publics perception on how things are ran are extremely important to reign in if you want to win elections. Stop having sex with interns. Stop being in a situation where bribery investigations could be launched. Stop ignoring the people you count on for advice in world matters. These things matter to people. They want to know that they can trust their representatives to do what's best for the people. When they doubt it, they'll run to the other side.
