Do same-sex couples make better communities?

I never in a million years would have guessed that a study like this was even going on, but one was conducted to see if gay folks make for higher property values.

I could have saved them the time and money of the study: Hell yes they do!  The stereotype of gay men being excellent decorators is generally very true.  They take wonderful care of their homes, and that gets neighbors in a "keeping up with the Jones'" type of competition and thus, all homes start looking better.

My neighbor is a gay man and his home is immaculate.  The lawn is always perfect, the exterior of the home is always much cleaner then mine, and he's a nice guy to boot.

When he found out I have a website like this one, you could see him visibly cringe.  He thought I was a stereotypical Republican and thus, anti-gay.  So, I told him to come here and check it out and report back to me.

I think I turned him to Republican ideals....REAL Republican ideals: Lesser government, less intrusion upon people's lives, fiscal responsibility, etc.

He told me I was "alright for a straight, white guy, especially a Republican".

Then I teased him and said "Heh, I turned a gay guy over to my side".  You may not see the humor, but he laughed, so screw you if you don't laugh at that statement. :)
