Has Morgan Spurlock Found Osama Bin Laden?

If Michael Moore is America’s number one documentary filmmaker, then after releasing Super Size Me Morgan Spurlock definitely became number 2. Except while Moore makes more point of view movies, Spurlock’s work is a lot closer to being what we think of when throwing around the word “documentary”.

His next project is by far, his riskiest yet. Spurlock has finished his new movie Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?, in which he sets out to do what the United States government has apparently failed to do: Find Osama Bin Laden. The Weinstein Company bought the thing after seeing only 15 minutes of it at the Berlin Film Festival, and here’s where it gets really interesting. Rumor has it that Spurlock actually found Osama Bin Laden.

The film’s director of photography told SlashFilm that Morgan “definitely got the holy grail.” Since the movie is about him hunting Osama, that would make him the holy grail… wouldn’t it? For now though, everyone around the production is keeping things locked down.

I actually enjoyed "super size me" from this man.  However, I want to know a few things:

Is this Hollywood hype?  If so, it's the worst kind of hype.  Getting the American public's hopes up for capturing Osama and if he's just playing it up for publicity, I'm going to be pretty disgusted with him.

If he found Osama, why did he not report his whereabouts to authorities?  That reeks of treason in my book.

If he found Osama, why can't the CIA or any other agency find him?

Personally, with what I've studied about Osama, I'm about 90% sure it's all hype. I find it very hard to believe that Osama would let an American filmmaker within miles of him without trying to kill him.

Secondly, I find it very hard to believe that if he did indeed find him, he wouldn't turn him in.  Who wouldn't want to be known as the guy who captured or at least found Osama?  I know I'd go see any movie the guy puts out from now until the end of time if he did.

But unfortunately, I think it's all hype.  Please prove me wrong Mr. Spurlock, I'm aching to know if you did find him, and why you didn't turn him in if you did.

But please be warned Mr. Spurlock, if you did find him and didn't turn him in, you're going to be a pariah in America.  You might as well find another place to live if that's the case.
