It begins. Now is the time where all the hard work and new tactics should theoretically start paying off. The first downturn in troop numbers has begun with more on the way.
What does that mean? That means that if our new tactics and training worked, Iraq should start being able to stand on it's own two feet. They should be able to start policing themselves and the violence levels should stay low.
Now, I'm not suggesting that car bombs won't happen again, I'm sure that they will, but this is the moment that everyone has said "wait" for. Now we should see results, right or wrong.
I really can't wait to see the results of where our troops have handed over control to see where they are in say 6 months.
