Good God people, everyone is always down on the economy even though the DOW just hit 14,000, unemployment is extremely low, and home ownership is at an all time high.
It asks the question of if you're living the "American Dream". Well, yes I am. I have a comfortable job, live in a large home with 3 cars and my wife and I both make a very good wage. How did we get this way? We worked our asses off, paid attention in school, and didn't mouth off to our bosses when we really REALLY wanted to.
That leads to advancement, better pay, physically easier jobs, and better benefits. Job not cutting it? We got better jobs. Didn't like the house we were in? Got a bigger one, but we did it without slitting our own financial throats to get it.
The point is, it's really not that difficult to live the "American Dream". Work hard, keep your nose to the grindstone, don't live above your means, save money, and you too can have everything that America has to offer.
