Why is it that people seem to think that they can join the military, enjoy the benefits of the military, then think that they can just "not go"? My point is that this guy is a medic, he's part of a team, a very valuable part I might add, and he's letting his teammates down by not going. While I disagree with the actions he has taken, I'm hesitant to totally condemn his actions as I haven't "walked a mile in his shoes". I'm sure his fellow Army soldiers have condemned him much worse then I ever could. He now faces 7 years in jail and a possible dishonorable discharge. Pretty steep consequences for his actions and I am sure he knew that was possible when he decided to do those actions.
