So there's a report out that states that people within the Pentagon purported a false link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda. While I personally don't think there was a direct connection between the two, I do believe that they had a common goal. Saddam was actively paying suicide bombers families, was planning attacks within the US, and did indeed pose a threat to the US and everyone within the region. If someone within the Pentagon did something wrong, they should be punished for it, but you can't tell me that Saddam didn't need to be removed from power.
